To use Gmail with your own domain, verify the domain in Google Workspace and point your MX records to Google.
- Sign up at Google Workspace and start the setup wizard for
yourdomain.com. - Verify ownership by adding the TXT record Google provides (use cPanel's Zone Editor).
- In cPanel Zone Editor, delete your existing MX records and add Google's MX record(s) exactly as shown in their setup guide.
- In cPanel Email Routing, set the domain to Remote Mail Exchanger.
- Add any DKIM TXT record Google gives you.
Allow time for DNS propagation, then create your users in the Google Admin console. Setting MX to remote stops Toshost from trying to deliver that domain's mail locally. Stuck on the records? Open a ticket.
