Add your hosting mailbox to Mozilla Thunderbird as follows.

1. Go to Account Settings > Account Actions > Add Mail Account.
2. Enter your name, full email address, and password, then click Configure manually.
3. Incoming: IMAP, server mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, SSL/TLS, normal password.
4. Outgoing: SMTP, server mail.yourdomain.com, port 465 SSL/TLS (or 587 STARTTLS), normal password.
5. Username for both: your full email address.
6. Click Re-test, then Done.

If Thunderbird warns about the certificate, switch the server name to the secure hostname listed in cPanel under Connect Devices. Prefer POP3? Use port 995 with SSL/TLS instead. Still stuck? Open a ticket.
