You can resize a mailbox or clear space directly in cPanel.
- Log in to cPanel and open Email Accounts.
- Find the address and click Manage.
- Under Storage Space, set a higher limit or choose Unlimited, then Update Email Settings.
To free up space instead, delete large or old messages, and empty Trash, Junk, and Sent folders in Webmail. If you use POP3 with leave a copy on server, old mail can pile up — switch to IMAP or remove server copies.
Remember the whole account shares your hosting disk space, so a mailbox can only grow within your plan's total. If you've run out of overall space, you may need to upgrade your plan from your client area or open a ticket.
