The goal is to move your old messages into your new mailbox. The cleanest method is an IMAP-to-IMAP transfer.
- Create the mailbox here first in cPanel under Email Accounts (for example
user@yourdomain.com). - In a mail client like Thunderbird or Outlook, add both accounts (old and new) using IMAP.
- Drag or copy folders and messages from the old account into the new one. They upload to our server.
- Once everything has copied, update your domain's MX records here so new mail arrives at Toshost.
Keep the old account active until migration finishes and DNS propagates (up to 24–48 hours). For larger mailboxes, we can run a server-side IMAP sync for you. Please open a ticket with the old server details to arrange it.
