To change the main site email, log in to WordPress and go to Settings > General, update the Administration Email Address field, and save. WordPress sends a confirmation link to the new address that you must click to finish.
- To change a specific user's email, go to Users, edit that user, update their email, and save.
- If you cannot receive the confirmation, you can update the
admin_emailrow in thewp_optionstable via phpMyAdmin in cPanel.
If WordPress is not sending mail at all, set up SMTP with a plugin like WP Mail SMTP first. Make sure the new address works, since password resets and important notices go there. Need help? Open a ticket.
