How do I install Joomla? Print

The fastest way is the Softaculous Apps Installer in cPanel.

  1. Log in to cPanel from your client area.
  2. Open Softaculous Apps Installer and search for Joomla.
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. Choose your domain (e.g. yourdomain.com), pick the protocol https:// to use your free SSL, and leave the directory blank to install in the web root.
  5. Set the admin username, password and email, then click Install.

In a minute you'll get a link to your site and the /administrator login. Our LiteSpeed servers run Joomla smoothly. If you'd rather install manually, upload Joomla to public_html, create a database in MySQL Databases, and run the web installer. Stuck? Open a ticket.
