The easiest way to install phpBB (or forums like MyBB and SMF) is the Softaculous Apps Installer in cPanel.
- Log in to cPanel via your client area.
- Open Softaculous and search for phpBB (or your preferred forum).
- Click Install Now, choose
yourdomain.comand protocolhttps://for free SSL. - Set the admin username, password and email, then click Install.
Softaculous creates the database automatically. To install manually, upload the forum files to public_html, create a database in MySQL Databases, and run the web installer at your domain, then remove the install directory afterward. Keep your forum updated to stay secure. Need help? Open a ticket.
