Keeping your account from sending spam protects your deliverability and keeps it from being suspended. Key steps:
- Use strong, unique passwords on every email account so attackers can't hijack them to send spam.
- Keep your CMS and contact-form plugins updated and add CAPTCHA to forms to stop bots.
- Set up SPF and DKIM records (cPanel's Email Deliverability tool can do this) so your mail is trusted.
- Don't send unsolicited bulk email; stay within sending limits and use real opt-in lists.
- Remove unused or compromised email accounts.
If you notice strange outgoing mail or a bounce flood, your account may be compromised — change passwords and scan with Imunify360 immediately. For help cleaning up or if sending is blocked, open a ticket.
