How do I reduce the number of plugins slowing my site? Print

Each active plugin adds code that runs on page loads, so fewer, lighter plugins mean a faster site. To trim down:

  1. Audit your plugins and deactivate anything you no longer use, then delete it.
  2. Replace several single-purpose plugins with one that covers the same jobs (for example, LiteSpeed Cache handles caching, image optimization and minification together).
  3. Find heavy plugins with a tool like Query Monitor or by deactivating plugins one at a time and re-testing speed.
  4. Avoid plugins that load scripts on every page when you only need them on one.

Always keep what remains updated. Before deleting anything, take a backup from cPanel so you can roll back if needed. After cleaning up, re-test your site speed to confirm the improvement and watch your resource usage drop.
