An object cache (Redis or Memcached) stores database query results in memory so dynamic sites respond faster. Availability depends on your plan, so first check your client area or welcome email, or open a ticket to confirm it's available on your account.
If it is enabled:
- Some plans expose Redis/Memcached management directly in cPanel.
- On WordPress, the LiteSpeed Cache plugin has an Object Cache setting - choose Redis or Memcached, enter the host and port we provide, and save.
- The plugin shows a green status when it connects successfully.
Object cache works best for busy, database-heavy sites; smaller sites usually see plenty of benefit from page caching (LSCache) alone. If you're on shared hosting and need dedicated Redis, a VPS may be the better fit - just ask us.
