How do I reset a client's cPanel password in WHM? Print

To reset a client account's password from WHM:

1. Go to Account Functions > Password Modification.
2. Select the client's account from the drop-down.
3. Enter a new strong password, or click the generator to create one.
4. Optionally tick Sync MySQL password so database access stays in step.
5. Click Change Password.

Share the new password with your client securely, and encourage them to change it after logging in. Resetting the cPanel password does not change individual email account passwords, which clients manage in cPanel under Email Accounts. If a client is locked out by a firewall or repeated failed logins rather than a forgotten password, open a ticket so we can clear the block.
