When you create an account in WHM, a DNS zone is built automatically using your default nameservers. To manage it:
- Go to DNS Functions > Edit DNS Zone and select the client's domain.
- Add or edit records such as A (point a name to an IP), CNAME (alias), MX (mail) and TXT (SPF, DKIM, verification).
- Save changes; propagation can take a few hours.
For the domain to use your DNS, the client must set their domain's nameservers (at their registrar) to your private nameservers or the nameservers in your welcome email. To apply the same records across many accounts, use DNS Functions > Add a DNS Zone or zone templates. If mail or a subdomain will not resolve, double-check the record and open a ticket if needed.
