You manage your VPS in two places. For day-to-day server work, connect over SSH using the IP, username, and password from your VPS welcome email. For power actions (boot, reboot, shut down, reinstall, or open the VNC console), use the VPS control panel in your client area.
- Open the client area and select your VPS service.
- Use the control panel buttons to power-cycle or rebuild the server.
- For software, sites, and updates, log in over SSH (see our SSH guide).
On unmanaged plans, the operating system and software are your responsibility. On managed plans, Toshost handles core server upkeep, so just open a ticket if you need a hand.
