When you cancel a hosting service, it is scheduled for termination either immediately or at the end of your paid billing period, depending on the cancellation type you choose in the client area. After termination, the account and its files, emails and databases are removed from the server.
Because data is deleted once the account is gone, you should download a full backup before cancelling. In cPanel, use Backup to download a complete copy of your files, email and databases while your service is still active. The exact data-retention window after termination is described in our Terms of Service. If you cancelled by mistake or need help recovering data shortly after, open a ticket quickly, as recovery may not be possible once data is purged.
